CBD is short for cannabidiol, a phytocannabinoid that develops in cannabis plants (phyto = plant). CBD research is quite fascinating. Though there is currently only one FDA-approved CBD-based medication, studies suggest that CBD may produce an array of benefits. For example, many studies suggest that CBD may exert pain-relieving effects, particularly due to its anti-inflammatory properties.
Additionally, CBD may help reduce stress and improve your pet’s mood. For example, one study found a slight improvement in shelter dog aggression in those who were fed CBD-infused pet treats. Another human study found that CBD helped reduce PTSD symptoms and reduce nightmares in most participants. As such, it is quite likely that CBD pet treats may reduce trauma-induced stress.

Turkey Tail mushrooms are incredibly beneficial to dogs thanks to the abundance of essential sugars, called beta-glucans, which they provide. Beta-glucans interact with immune cells in the body to decrease inflammatory responses and regulate immune system functions. The fungus may also fight yeast infections which could cause symptoms like itchy skin, dry spots, ear infections, diarrhea, food sensitivity, and hair loss. Finally, Turkey Tail helps regulate digestion and protect the liver while offering vital phytonutrients to help prevent things like cancer, heart disease, pulmonary disease, and diabetes
Lion’s Mane mushrooms are both healthy and flavorful, thus making it one of our favorite mushrooms to use in our CBD pet treats.
